Hello again all.

firstly want to say thanks to Zheka for the camera and all the help with it, he's a top bloke.

I've not be able to take out the camera for a full day as weather has been bad and lack of time, also the fact im still learning what all the buttons do.

just taken a few quick shots trying different features and settings on the camera, experiments really to see what it can do. its my first DSLR.

also bought photoshop so been messing around with that, probably to much, its easy to get carried away. fun tho.

any ways time for the rubbish, C+C always welcome!

these two are my favorites, can't decide which one i like better, the first one is more how i imagined the picture to look when i was thinking about it and i think its got more wow factor, but i like the contrast in the second one.
i think i prefer the first tho.
Im really please with how they came out considering its my first time trying any thing like this.

Its a mixed bag in my opinion but here goes.

1. i find the halo's around the petals distracting. Maybe a tad over processed.
2. I dont mind that image at all. Easy on the eyes and nothing really too distracting. Just a little cloning on the scrathes or wire strands on the right of the image.
3. The purple fringing around the petals is a bit distracting. Maybe using depth of field to your advantage for a better shot.
4. Does nothing for me as it makes me feel like my vision is quite poor. But at the end of the day its all about what you are trying to achieve.
5. good effort but shame about the relection off the water with the flash.
6. I quite like it but would have had the bottle more prominent (sp) than the logo.
7. I would have focussed on the plaque in the middle of the chair and increased the DOF a little bit but i really like the idea.
As for the rest - i quite like them tbh.

cheers for the reply, im a bit random with my photos any thing that grabs my eye i normally take a few shots of.

still find it funny how i can over look some thing so obvious untill its pointed out. regards to the halo's in the first pic.

are you saying i need to clone them out, or did you notice i already tried and need to do a better job? lol

yeah this was really annoying me, no matter what i tried couldn't seem to get rid of the purple. what causes this and how do you avoid it?

totaly agree with you there, tried to have the bottle more prominent but it wasn't having any of it.

thanks again for the comments its all helping.

Trust me i miss things until someone else with fresh eyes looks at them!
Sometimes theres not a lot you can do with the pic. FYI the purple fringing is nothing technically you are doing wrong but its a problem with some lenses. I cant tell what camera you are using but some "kit" lenses are not the best.

Keep trying mate that all i can advise.
