3x 4GB DDR3 1600 (not triple channel kit) in x58

Hi

I'm trying to upgrade from 6gb to 12gb on my x58 xeon rig. Triple channel kits seem hugely overpriced. Can I buy 3 seperate 4gb modules and use them together in triple channel mode okay?

I am looking at buying 3x -

4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM XMP HyperX Savage

Will that work? Board is gigabyte UD3R.

i was using 3x4gb hyperx in a x58 setup.
