Hello everyone! I need to buy a new laptop, as my old one died on me and I came across this:
Does anyone have any info on this type of laptops ? There must be a catch, right ? If you look at any of the popular brands, with specs like these, the laptops go for around 500 ponds more. This seems like too good to be true.

17.3" 3XS Vengeance RTX G-Sync, FHD, 144Hz, 8GB RTX 2070 SUPER, i7 10875H, 16GB DDR4, 1TB NVMe SSD+1TB HDD for 1800 pounds.

edit: edited out the link. didn't know links to that site were not allowed.

You can get the below spec direct from HP for £1,664.99 using BL10 code:
  • Windows 10 Home 64
  • Intel® Core™ i7-10750H (2.6 GHz base frequency, up to 5 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 12 MB L3 cache, 6 cores)
  • 17.3" diagonal NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ Full-HD, 144 Hz, IPS, anti-glare display
  • 16 GB memory; 512 GB PCIe® SSD and 1 TB HDD storage
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2080 Super™ (8 GB GDDR6 dedicated); Audio by Bang & Olufsen; DTS:X® Ultra; Fast charge; 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard; Faster Wi-Fi 6
Its a step down in processor and the SSD is smaller but you upgrade to the 2080 Super, with the price difference you could double the RAM up or change the SSD if 512 GB isn't enough.

I went for Lenovo Legion 7 well worth the money , best laptop Ive ever had.The screen is stunning , good choice

Intel Core i7-10875H (8C / 16T, 2.3 / 5.1GHz, 16MB)
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q 8GB GDDR6
2x 8GB SO-DIMM DDR4-3200 ( Upgraded to 32GB DDR4-3200 )
15.6" FHD (1920x1080) IPS 500nits Anti-glare, 144Hz, 100% Adobe RGB, HDR400, Dolby Vision, G-Sync

the problem with this setup is that Max-Q graphics are worse than their "normal" counterparts and much worse than the Supers. There were some benchmarks made and the 2070 Max-Q is something close to the regular 2060 in terms of percormance.

I am happy with it , has many good reviews on you tube . Not a massive games player on PC anyway just treated myself as it was insurance money to spend

To be honest not much different between RTX 270 To RTX 280 , well refresh rates
Stick with PS5 gaming

besides the exclusives, there are literally 0 reasons to ever play anything on a console instead of a PC/laptop.
