What is the minimum idle temperature on realtemp for 4.2Ghz i7 core 920 D0 as mine is 46, 44, 45, 44 as I am kept trying to get it down to around 40, 41, 40, 41 possible if I can (?)

It very hard to kept re-apply paste to get it lower temperature if I could.

I had finally sorted out my lower temperature at idle (4.2Ghz) was now read at 39, 38, 37, 38 and full load (4.2Ghz) at 65, 63, 61, 62 after one hour prime95 and did managed to push v core voltage down to 1.23v (from 1.30v) and memory ram voltage down to 1.60v (from 1.64v) everything is stable with the flight simulator x game for an hour too.

I did spread the AS5 in a thin layer on the cpu cooler and also spread a thin layer on the cpu processor chip too and seated correct between the cpu cooler and the cpu processor. I use a push pull two fans together too.

:)

I set memory ram at 8.8.8.24.2 triple channel 1600Mhz with Core Freq at 3200Mhz to run the flight simulator x stable.

I might consider a new memory ram of 2000Mhz to try overclocked 4.4Ghz in my next target.

4.2 @ 65'c?

i would like to see that on air

mine does 4.2 at 65'c with high end water

I thought your is 4.4 with high end water ?

I probably will switch over with high end water next year when I had £500 on myself. I need my money for holiday in October for my 40th birthday to Cyprus for 1 week. I might wait for the compare of between i7, i5 and i9 next year and find out which one is best and bargain with high overclocking.

I guess I am lucky to have on air with 65C full load 4.2Ghz cos I put the pc in the garden shed with shed temperature room at 17C. :)
