Is there i way i can have 640x480 or 800x600 on my 19" widescreen like so :

rather than have it all pixelated

Do you have an NVIDIA graphics card?

There is a way when using an nvidia card, if you go in to display properties -> settings -> advanced -> graphics card tab (i.e 7900GS) -> nView Display settings (shows up on classic view, not sure on the new view) -> right click on the primary monitor -> device adjustments -> and either select Fixed Aspect ratio scalling for using say 1280x1024 or "centered output" for using say 1024x768.

You can also do that with ATI cards now.

I dont have an ATi so I cant talk someone through the step by step. Care to share incase anyone else needs to know when searching through threads?

In CCC/ Digital Panel Properties/ Attributes/ Image Scaling/ Use centered timings.
