4.4ghz at 1.140 vcore - 4770k, 8gb DDR3, Hyper Evo 212, Zalman 11+ - advice request

Exactly as you described. Increasing the vcore and multiplier and booting up and running stability tests. I didn't fiddle with anything else. I did find, however, that stability issues have started to creep in over the past few weeks so I've had to up my vcore to 1.20. I get around 35-40c temps and at full load nothing more 80c.

I've since looked in better cooling options and another case, so I'm thinking of seeing if I can push it further and increase the vcore a tad.

I should receive my Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro today so will slap that in tonight and see what the temps are. I can post the data if it helps.

I have a Tundra TD03 cooler which is very good. You can also get its bigger brother the TD02 for an extra £20. They are very cool and quiet.
Also, regarding your overclock, I too, initially used IBT and AIDA for stability, seemed OK until it bombed out BSOD stop 124 error during BF4.
I then tried Realbench v2.0 which seems a far superior stability test, not so synthetic! This too bombed out with the same stop BSOD error! until I upped my Vcore to 1.23V from initially 1.175V in 50mV increments, to get to my final stable voltage, that was! It then ran stable for 8hours, and passed the test. Something worth considering?
Enjoy your new system mate!

@Jonnygrunge Nice one. Thanks, I'm loving my rig, it's very quiet and cool. Looks like you've cracked it with the cooling! What are the fans like on the tundra? Might be a solution for my problem below.

@Bam - please post your results, I like the look of the Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2.

I've got the OC bug now though, thinking of changing up my case and cooling options. The options I have are as follows:

Budget of about £180

Corsair C70 Military Green Case (love this case design and it has great reviews) £85; and

Cooling
Noctua DH-14 (in which case I will also have to swap my RAM for a low profile version so that it will fit - which could be expensive); or
H100i with 2 x fans Noctua F12 120mm (as I hear the stock fans are a little loud - could also be out of my budget)

Which would you recommend OCUK? I'm set on the case, but I'm not sure what to do about the cooling given the added expense

Sorry for the late reply.
Hmm, results on the Haswell/DRP 3.....hard to measure I think.

Installing is actually quite easy (if you have CPU access through the case).
Noise is hardly noticeable, even on full when stress testing etc. Love the quality of the product, silent, looks evil, what more could you need :)
