hi guys,

i was woundering on a motherboard i got for a mate there is a 8pin port, but with a cap over 4 of the ports and the manual says a 4pin plug from the PSU is fine, but i was just curious if anyone knows for a FACT EXACTLY what those other 4pins power, the mobo in question is an Asus P5LD2 Deluxe

cheers

Dual CPU (actual two CPU's, do not confuse with single chip, dual core CPU's) ie in servers. There's probably a version of the Asus P5LD2 but with two CPU sockets, usually a PCB line could be based on another version but with removed/added/changed components. Arcam for example, their PCB's are the same for integrated amplifiers and power amps. The poweramps jack the pre-amp components, but it is the same board.
