Hi,

Need some advice please ;)

I have a Raijintek Triton Cooler
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-016-RT

I'm changing the fans for 4 of these Aerocool DS Edition Fan - Black - 120mm
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-040-AE&groupid=701&catid=2331&subcat=4

But i want to run 4 fans from the cpu header, i noticed next to the cpu header there is a cpu optional.
What do i need to do, buy 4 way PWM fan splitter to run of the cpu header?

Or do i need a 2 way splitter?, and run 2 of the cpu header, and the other 2 of the cpu optional header, like the ones in the link below?
If so, what are to 2 differences from the 2 splitters?
BTW, My motherboard is a Asus Maximus VII Hero Intel Z97

Cheers Guys :)

I'd just get a 4 way splitter that draws power direct from the psu, that way you don't run the risk of pulling too much power through the motherboard.

Get one of these: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-031-AK

That will let you connect three fans then connect it to the CPU header, then connect a molex to power them all (so the is no risk of them overloading the header).

Connect the fourth fan to the CPU OPT header.

---------------

Or get two of these like you though:

Akasa PWM fan splitter
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=CB-071-AK

And connect two fans to CPU and two to CPU OPT.

----------------

If so, what are to 2 differences from the 2 splitters?

EK charge more for their one.

OK Excellent! would the Cpu opt run at the same RMP as the Cpu header
Thanks for your Help :)
