4 GB enough?

Is 4GB enough to run games and windows 7 64 bit?

Will be combined with overclocked i5 (4Ghz) and ATI 5870

For Gaming should be enough. Should only need more if running VM's.

For games and general apps use 4gig will be ample - even with Win 7.

i'm running 4gb on win7 on a 4890. hardly anything out there that i can't handle except the exceptional case of our favourite game crysis lol.

look at my sig for my specs ......

i was thinking of having more RAM installed but everything runs fine on my system. Not one game i can't run on less that MAX settings.

...It's strange how i have the constant need to upgrade when i don;t need to ..... gonna stick with what i've got ..... for now ......

4GB will be fine. You can always add another 4GB at a later date.

32-bit Windows Apps can only address a maximum of 2GB RAM for their own use which leaves loads left over for the OS. Win 7 is a lot more efficient with RAM than Vista.
