Ive just upgraded to 4 gb of geil ULL and iam getting errors in memtest on test 7, i used to get these errors before with 2gb and i think i worked round it by upping the MCH and FSB voltages by +0.1 and DDR voltage to 2.3v but ive tryed it this time with +0.2v MCH and +0.1v FSB with the CPU running at 1.4v and the DDR at 2.2v and 2.3v but iam still get errors on test 7  memory is running at 5,5,5,15 2T with a 42 refresh cycle.
Any ideas?

At 800mhz?

Test the new sticks by themselves at 2.1v 4-4-4-12. If that doesn't work then try 2.0v.

new sticks show errors aswell so that pretty much rules out the memory being a problem.Ive tested the old sticks before one at a time and they were o.k it just when things are running dual channel.
There must be something i can do bios wise to coorect this as another strange thing is if i turn of the PSU switch (seasonic S 12 600W) then turn it back on the test runs for longer before it fails  doing my head in this is.
There must be somebody out there that has a simliar or has had a similiar setup to me that can pass on some settings to try.
My board is rev 1

time for an RMA then me thinks, well i suppose its worth a try ive spanked the RAM for months now and cant seem to find anything that will correct things.
Does anybody now the length of the warranty on these boards? mines coming up to a year old now :-/

I had 2 sets, both sets used on their own - no errors. Both sets used together, errors all over the place. I tried different slots, different combinations, the only time they failed was when they were all being used. I even bought a new mobo (rev 3.3 of the DS3 as oppoased to the rev1) and it did exactly the same. Perhaps it just isnt compatible with the ram in 4x1gb configurations.

Well the latter is DDR3 only, so you would need this version for your Geil.

They're both solid, but you should also take a look at this if you're going to spend £120.

Well after all this hassle it seems i might have sorted the problem iam not holding my breath but ive just ran memtest for 1 hour and 55 mins with no errors.
So for future reference and for anybody else having issues heres what i did and i hope that it helps solve your issues
I set voltage to 2.0v timings manually and fresh to 42 BUT i also set all the other memory settings to there SPD settings which in my DS3's BIOS is a faded number next to the number i can set, so i set the timings to 5,5,5,18 refresh 42 then set all the orther timings which range between 3 and 6 if i remember rightly.
Please note this is only with 2 GB and iam yet to test it with 4 GB
