Just wanted to check this for a friend, they are going to get 4 iPads (new iPad, 16GB, wifi only) and they have 1 computer with iTunes and 1 iTunes account.

My understanding is they can buy an application and sync it to all 4 of the iPads - basically meaning they have 4 identical iPads.

They will be getting these for educational purposes as the 4 iPads will be used by students with learning difficulties.

No idea what apps they'll be using but it'll all be child learning stuff.

Yes, so long as the obvious, is that the 4 iPads are signed into the same 1 account .... otherwise no :p

Yup, that's a given.

They just want to be able to plug them in 1 at a time, sync them with any purchases and then use them with the 4 children in the day, charge and night and repeat without having to worry about setting up 4 different iTunes accounts or rubbish like that.

Then yes, all perfectly do'able. No different to having 1 iTunes account, and having an iPhone and iPad that all sync the same set of apps. :)

Yep that should be fine. As long as you've set it up to automatically sync apps, you can buy the app on the computer (or on one of the iPads) and shortly after the app will be downloaded onto all the iPads automatically :D
