There are four Macs at work - 2 iMacs and 2 Pros.
I want to upgrade them to Lion. Now as this is primarily intended as an online purchase is there any way of upgrading all four using just one Apple account?

I don't really want to have to create four different accounts in the users name just for this and there is only one credit card I can use anyway.

I know I can purchase the USB install but considering that is nearly 3x more expensive it's not what I want to do.

Any help?

Andrew

Try contacting Apple on 0800 058 2222 and tell them. It seems volume licenses are a minimum purchase of 20 copies though.

Thanks, I was looking at the volume licensing thing today too so maybe they can sort out something, even if it is a small amount.

Not aware that you can activate each licence more than once, but if anyone can confirm that, it would certainly be helpful!

Yes you can activate purchases on multiple computers but I don't think the license allows you to use them simultaneously. That's a bit naughty in a business environment.

App store purchases can be used on 5 Macs, including Lion.

For personal use only. Business users need to purchase 1 copy of Lion per machine.

Business licensing is a pain in the bum for anything less than 20 units. Then again it's only about £400 to buy 20. That's less than three licences for Windows 7!
