Hi. I have recently purchased a M4N82 Deluxe motherboard and my AMD 965 stock fan does not work when i plug it into the 4 pin cpu socket. I have had to use it on a chasis fan socket. Does anyone have any idea how i could get it to work in the cpu socket? Sorry if this is a nooby question, i dont know allot about computers. Thanks.

What were the cpu temps, On some Gigabyte motherboards the would not start until a certain temperature is reached, not sure if this is the same with your board.

Did you plug the CPU_Fan on the white pin area top side of the socket/RAM area? you can see the mark on CPU_fan that you need to plug for the heatsink to run..

for Case fan you need either 4-pin molex from PSU or if it small 3 pins then it use as either SYS_Fan or PWR_Fan.

I also own M4N82 as well and run with X6 1090T that run so cool but I only using my own Thermaltake Venus 12 heatsink cos it has lots of good copper and big blade fan.
