4 pin fan with a 3 pin fan controller

The built in fan controller in my 650D only supports 3 pin fans, most 120mm fans seem to be 4 pin, does anyone know of a cable that would allow me to connect a 4 pin fan to my cases fan controller?

you can use a 4 pin fan on a 3 pin jobby, it just wont have PWM control

The fan controller for the 650D uses moulded plugs, so it won't actually fit and I can't seem to find any 3 pin to 4 pin cables.

you mean 4 pin to 3 pin. Akasa PWM Fan Extension cable - 30cm that will let you connect you 4 pin fan cable to a 3 pin motherbroad or fan controller unit.

Actually that won't work because of the moulded sockets again.

I have found something that should work though.

Just snip the side of the socket so it fits. Thats all I did
