Hi,

I have an Aten 2 port KVM which works fine with my wireless keyboard and mouse.

I now have 3 servers in my rack and so would like to move to a 4 machine KVM.

Any recommendations at a low(ish) cost as this is for home use.

Servers are all USB and VGA.

Thanks

Looking at under the 100 mark I would guess. Have seen a few from Belkin etc but really not sure how good they really are. My 2 port unit is fine for basic stuff I am doing.

I have played around with KVMoIP on client builds and it is great but I have 3 servers, one Intel based, one HP and one desktop LGA775 level.

The rack sits just behind me so distance is not an issue, just hooking up a screen to each box if one goes a bit pear shaped.

Any advice on setting up remote iLO. I installed it on my desktop but seemed to have no option to connect to a remote host.

I went to install it on my HP server but as it is Win SBS 2011 SQL server is already installed and it then asked me to setup the relevant databases and accounts. Any walkthoughs available to tell me what I need to create and how best to go about it on SBS Standard.

Thanks
RB

If you run the SQL Server installer (included on the second SBS DVD IIRC) you have the option to add an additional named instance.

I have it from the Microsoft Action Pack and it only comes as a single ISO. I did, however, find the SQL server 2008r2 management console and have added a DB. Need to see if that will work but have just discovered that the internal SATA controller is not seen in Windows (not the BR110i but the 2 port with the DVD rom plugged in to it). Need to resolve this issue first then will try the iLO disk again.

Many thanks
