Hi I have a 5950x with 2 sticks of ADATA XPG GAMMIX D10, 32GB (2 x 16GB), DDR4, 3600MHz Cl18

Is it worth adding 2 extra 32GB to this or get a new set of 32GB x 2 to get me to 64GB

I have seen some Crucial Ballistix 64GB 3200MHz DDR4 2x32GB CL16 which would be within budget.

Any advice much apricated?

Wouldn't replace what you have. The difference between the configs would be a couple of percents in certain workloads, if that. Just get another 32GB, or if you think you may need more than 64GB, then add 2x32GB to this to make it 96GB.

Thanks for the input, never thought about doing that. Do you need to match the ram? Or can i get different speeds etc. Also with the little knowledge I have i thought 4 sticks caused instability?

I need more ram as the 3d scenes I am working on keep running out of memory.

Ideally get the same memory but most ram will work together but not gauranteed. Getting simmlar spec memory the motherboard will run the memory at the higher timmings between the 2 diffrent sets if any diffrence.

4 sticks adds extra strain on the memory controller which in some cases can cause instability but that's just unlucky if so.

4-stick instability only an issue at very high frequencies, shouldn't be an issue at 3200/3600. You don't need to match (of course better if you do), they'll usually settle at a lower frequency or timings, you can manually adjust those to something both can run.
