I am trying to get 4 gtx580s to run in sli on a rivf and in nvidia control panel it sees all the cards, but when i maximise 3d performance it only selects 3 of the cards. i have tried the latest drivers as well as a few older ones and they all do the same thing.

4 way sli issues

Make sure all the cards are fitted properly in the motherboard.
Also try fitting 3 cards and get 3 way running properly then add card number 4.
Make sure the wiring for the on/off switches and any other wiring found at the bottom is not holding the 4th card away from the board.
If all else fails, sell the lot and get a GTX 1070.
