Afternoon guys,

I know it's a bit select, but I'm in a bind. The front of the cars had all new polybushes, which means the trackings obviously out.

I used to take it to TyrePros Hanley, but they've had new equipment which now grabs the tyre and can't fit under my arches as it's lowered.

Other places I've rang always refuse to deviate from the manufacturers settings, just go off what it says on the computer, which defeats the object as I'd like the caster/camber settings the car felt right with.

Any recommendations would be swell.

Thanks.

I had my old Mazda Xedos 9 4 wheel tracked as well as my current Focus - Both came out around the £90 mark but the Mazda was a different car afterwards.

They are not in Stoke but Stafford and you could ring and ask them- I would certainly go back again.

This is if they are still going - but they do a lot of work for local Mazda dealer and do body repair as well

not sure if you meant £90 each,

but in the Cambridge area a 4 wheel track (Hunter rig I think) is circa £100 for one car at Formula1, so I did not go for tha when I had
4 new tyres balanced at ~£100 per corner.
if it was nearer £50 I might consider it, but seemed a license to print money, even if the rig is an expensive piece of kit - is £100 justified ?

Nah that's a ripoff, I've never paid more than £50 and that was a full setup on the ramp well over an hour.

£90 was for each car - I had had the Mazda done 3 times before went to these guys and they got it perfect - One wheel was 4mm out - so now I pay for the best - £90 is not a lot if you have to buy tyres before you should due to miss tracking and mine are around £100 each

Worth the drive up to Roddison's in Sheffield to get the MX5 set up properly.

A proper full 4 wheel alignment is pretty expensive, usually £70+. Though you can usually get it a lot cheaper if you get it with new tyres through someone like blackcircles.

It seems not such a good deal when it's explained [ after you've stumped up for the print out natch ] that on your car only the tracking [ front and rear ] is adjustable, to adjust camber and caster angles require special, expensive eliptical bolts or new custom lower and/or upper suspension arms.
