4 x 4GB or stick with 2 x 4GB

As the title suggests really I currently have the spec below in my signature, and with RAM prices so cheap I was thinking of getting another identical set of Corsair Sticks to match what I already have.

Will having 4 sticks instead of 2 slow the ram down or will there be no difference?

No point unless you're doing something that uses more than 8GB. The only time my system uses more than 8GB (16GB installed) is when I've got a couple of virtual machines running.

I have 2 X58 systems with 6gb in each one, I find this plenty for gaming. I have plenty of DDR3 memory I could use in them but find they run better and oc higher with just the 6gb they have installed.
