Coolermaster Elite 335
400 watt Corsair PSU.

I'm using the onboard graphics (HD4200) and I'm not planing on getting a new monitor anytime soon, it only goes up to 1280x1024.

I play cod4 and CS:S.

Cant go wrong.... It'll play the games you mentioned at max settings for just £40 Tidy.

That PSU should be up to the job aswell (being Corsair).

Which 8800GTS is it? If it's the 512MB version then it's a good deal. If it's a 320MB/640MB one I wouldn't bother.

What 8800 gts is it, 320/640 g80 or the 512 g92, if the latter its a pretty good buy.

Its the 8800gts 320mb version. It will still play cod 4 and source ok at his resolution.

Out of those cards, I'd get the 8800GTS.

It's silent, has a 512mb of GDDR5 (puts it's bandwidth in the same league as the 8800GTS). After looking at some reviews, this thing might also overclock like a monster (up to 900mhz from it's 550mhz stock).

It'll also use less power than the 8800GTS.

To be honest, on your budget, I think my original choice would still be best. Once you;ve overclocked both cards, there wouldn't be that much performance difference.

Just seen a GTX260 216 cores one that went for £60 or less on MM. Honestly, don't bother with new cards at this budget, you'll most likely end up with something crappy that doesn't hold its value and is unusable in a few years. Seeing that second-hand 5850s go for £140 these days (still one of the best value cards on the market, less than a year old and gets along with any game out there) and many previous generation cards are sold for pennies, I would look no further than Members Market and get something that I'd be satisfied with.

If you can stretch to £65, you'll probably look at second-hand 4870/90s or GTX260s.

100 posts? Two-three days of reasonable flooding in the Forums, many regulars do it everyday Members Market is not the only place you can find second-hand hardware btw.
