X1950Pro is better than 7600GT but needs a better/higher spec PSU to run it.

Depends on what PSU he's got really then.

it is a bit better but not loads. I had the AGP versions of both. I only upgraded to the x1950pro because it seemed to be that last AGP card ever at the time.

The 7600gt was an underated card.
