£40 wired mouse.

I'm getting fed up of my £2.50 mouse so I think it's about time for an upgrade. Can anyone who has used multiple gaming mice advise as to the best wired one for around £30 - £40? It would be great to get a mouse mat thrown in for the price (I'm currently using the velvet back of a diary ).

Also, has anyone used the Enermax Aurora? Nice looking keyboard, any good for gaming? Can you press more than two keys at once?

If you are an FPS player, do NOT go laser - Optical is the way forward.

I'm living in the Lake District and I can't think of any retailers that stock good mice. I will have to buy before I try. My current mouse is tiny, laptop mouse I think. When using a mouse I like to keep my wrist planted in one position and move the mouse with my fingers. So I guess I need a small'ish mouse, just bigger than my currentone.

The G5 looks good, as does the Death Adder. hmmm . . .
