£400 - £600 budget for a PC

I have the GTX 460 (paid £85 for it, second hand) and works a treat, perfect in every game i play. I would recommend. Though i understand the skepticism about B grade items.

as long as the build i end up with can play shogun 2 and dead space at a good frame rate on relatively high settings i don't care if the item is B graded

but would the i3 most of you have specced stand the strain of the next few years ?

or would it be worth getting the z77 now and changing cpu when needed ?

You know what though, I dumped a lot of money into an i7 and Asus MVG and I wish I had went for something more reasonable like a i5 and Gigabyte board.

After a very good day i have managed to sell some of my unwanted xbox games.

so with the extra money £75 in your opinions should i put more into buying a CPU or into a graphics card?

EDIT: for example a lot of reviews praise the I5's. but also the AMD 7850 and some other really well priced cards have also received good reviews.
I don't think i could afford both at the moment.
