Basically looking to get a build for a mate who is in dire need of a new pc, his laptop currently gives him 20fps in league of legends walking around......it then dips to 2 fps in teamfights.....not to mention it pink screened once while playing dota 2...i had never heard of a pink screen before. anyway he had a budget of 400 pounds and i thought of this

1. It needs ram in my 2 amd builds i have bought incompatible ram so could somone spec some

2. Yeah i know a bulldozer is a tiny bit ott but its 20 quid more than a trinity and an i3 and has 4 more cores so i'm thinking it's worth it

3. Will the 7750 be capable of dota 2 and league of legends at 1440x900

well i thought about that but what im kinda looking for is something that will do the job he needs and then maybe in a year or 2 all he could maybe add an ssd the new amd processor and a new graphics card a trinity would do..but there isnt a really an upgrade path other than hybrid crossfire. although i did come up with this

and then sourcing a phenom ii x4 965 from somewhere for 70 -75 quid would tht not be better?

One thing to maybe take into account is that not all the "piledriver" cpu's are listed for that Gigabyte board (also depends on which revision it is).

So Steamrooler may be limited in support too?

The motherboard has an 8 pin power input so should support an upgrade to the CPU in the future and the 6300 should offer better performance than the 8120 you were looking at.

Voltage regulator module ;)

Good boards have 8+1 VRM's I believe , boards with less like 4+1's can cause CPU's which use a lot of power, ie AMD current chips to throttle.
