I have been very happy with my BenQ FP241W until I broke it, last night.

Now I need a monitor to replace it, I also have a 2nd monitor viewsonic 22inch - nothing special, but it's fine as a secondary monitor.

I've been thinking 27"+ and use the viewsonic for another pc, or get a 24" to replace my BenQ.

I'm a gamer, but also a photographer - and I'm finding it difficult to find something that does both to a high standard for my budget. Maybe it should be the 24inch dell ultrasharp?

I've noticed the Hazro monitors, but I'm not 100% sure of them - plus they've increased in price since release.

Any thoughts?

cheers.

I bought a Dell u2410 and am very happy with it.

I use it to game, programming and photos.

My older Hyundai 24 screen sits next to it, which is good, but the U2410 wins hands down.

A little over you're budget but well worth it.

I got my 2x U2711's replaced for 2x U2410's the text was far to small at native resolution on the U2711. I sit about a meter away. Anyway, U2410 is the best monitor I've ever owned, very competitive deals out there, got mine for £430.50 delivered, each that is :-)

I keep looking at the U2711 which you can pick up for ~£600

Really I shouldn't..

I've ordered the Hazro, but I'm prepared to send it back if I'm dissatisfied with it.

U2711 is terrible for gaming, it has some of the highest input lag out there. Had that not been the case I would have got one, got the 27WC instead.

... and there isn't :-) I just don't have the realestate to move that far back from the monitor, not to mention I can have 3 U2410 in portrait for almost the same price :D. I really don't like moving my head about, my U2410's sit in portrait mode and my head is glued to the headrest :-), I'm about 1meter away and it's perfect.

maybe go back to CRT. Not seen a CRT that cant take a serious beating yet. can probs get someone to pay you to take one away and you can whack it all day without it breaking :)

Well I cancelled the Hazro order, when placing it - it said expected delivery date 19th July - however it wasn't dispatched..

Gave me enough time to decide maybe I'd prefer the dell for zero fault tolerance and higher build quality and backup
