Hey guys

I'm looking to put together a full gaming system for about £400.
I already have OS/Monitor + peripherals.
The budget can go about 5% higher but not more.

I was thinking something along the lines of an i3-2100, H67 mobo and 6670 1GB?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

A H67 would be nice, but takes this to £440.

6850 vs GTX460 - http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/291?vs=313

The 6850 also only needs a single PCI-E connector and so the Corsair PSU above is perfect for it - http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=239 - http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Corsair-CX430-V2-Power-Supply-Review/1284

Perhaps this option allows you to afford this H67 board - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-172-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1907

To be fair you're not going to get much better than what stulid has spec'd. He is only just outside your budget with the +5% taken into account.

The only place you could save money is the GPU but seeing as you want a gaming rig this component is quite important ;)

You used to be abe to get the refurb'd 1GB 460 for around £90 but it's not listed anymore sadly. I've mentioned this before on other threads, for what that super OC 460 costs i'd rather pay that extra £10ish to get the 6870 which has two games bundled with it. Certainly worth it if they are games you would be interested in.

Good luck with the build, any problems or questions you know where we are.

I'm going to place an order soon, thanks Stulid but I have just one question...

Which types RAM does the MSI H61M-E33 Intel H61 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard **B3 REVISION** £46.99 support?

1333Mhz DDR3 is its max operating speed, but 1600MHz RAM is the same price and works at lower speeds.

The memory controller is "dual channel" also.
