I am looking to buy a laptop for business use I have about £400 to spend (give or take a few £ either way).

What sort of specs should I expect for the price?

I have seen a Compaq CQ61-424sa with an Intel Pentium Dual Core T4400 2.2 GHz, 4GB Ram (supports upto 8GB), 500GB Hard Disk, 15.6" Screen and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit all for £389.89.

Can I expect anything better for the price?

The laptop will be used for Internet browsing and some light web design/photoshop work.

depends if you need mobility as well. I'm using a UL30A (13'' 1366 x 768, SU2300, 3 gigs, 8 hours battery, ultra-portable), and I'd think it'd do all those things no problem, anywhere, anytime.

Also, I'd avoid Compaq / HP at this price point. My sister has a CQ60, and I've not been impressed. They feel really low budget, heavy, hot, and the screen sucked. Just my opinion, but there are plenty of options, probably better for business. Although for me, business means Lenovo / toughbooks).
