£400 Phenom Build

Hey Guys

After the old p4 desktop which my parents use finally died they asked me to get a new one, i only need the tower and have a HDD and Optical Drives which can go in it.
Will the PSU be able to power it and can you make any improvements?

I would say if you can go that bit extra get the 720.
I think you should buy a 4850 second hand instead of that card (They go for about £60)

Maybe go with the Antec 300 or CM 690 for a case. If not gaming then i'd get the 790gx chipset too

Couldnt really decide on a case and as i own a silverstone fortress case which seems good i just stuck with what i knew

No, but my dad has a HD camcorder and edits footage on it, and tbh the p4 just couldnt cut it when rendering.

The 790gx is a good 'normal' motherbaord chipset just with integrated graphics to save money. Its obviously not super fast though. Fyi rendering is heavily cpu based so the graphics card wont really help much there
