Hi guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my system, and wondering what the best way to go about it would be. This is what I currently have:

AMD A8-3870 APU @ 3.0Ghz
Gigabyte A55M-DS2 A55 Chipset (FM1)
G.Skill RibJawsX 8GB 1600MHz
Corsair 600W PSU of some sort
500GB Seagate HDD 7200RPM

I know a new graphics card would be needed, and an SSD would help a lot. Is my processor okay for now? The aim of the system is to play/stream Dota2 in 720p.

Thanks!

What case do you have?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus Radeon R9 280X DirectCUII TOP 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £259.99
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £119.99
Total : £389.58 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Do you not think my CPU will throttle my ability to stream in 720p?

I was reading that some of the Nvidia cards like the 750ti have a built in service which takes the load of of the CPU whilst streaming and places it more on the GPU, perhaps I would be better getting an Nvidia card with that feature?

I'm currently using this case: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-063-OP but I will upgrade it soon.
