4000+ cabge 0528cpaw is this stepping any good?

Can anyone shed any light on this stepping? Is it any good for overclocking?

Thanks chaps...

My 3700+ is a cabge stepping,I would disagree that they are a poor stepping as mine is running at 2.9 with rock solid stability.Just be prepared to raise vcore quite significantly as this stepping requires it for high clocks.

Or early CABNE's they were incredible :)
Knew there was another but didn't want to get it wrong :D

Yes those were the best two. I had a CAYBE Opteron 146 which sits happy at 3.0GHz :)

This latest (and last) batch of 4000+s are KAB1E and I think they are about as good as anything to date; even as good as the CABNEs.

I completely agree, they're mighty good chips, probably the best so far.

AMD are certainly seeing off s939 in style :)

This is a KAB1E 0626FPMW 4000+ delivered this morning.

Decided to rebel against the conroe revolution!!!! :p nah this chip is actually for my HTPC but i thought i would put it under the single stage to see what it could do ...this was about 15 mins after it's first boot.

Look at clockgen or cpu-z for real mhz.

for £80 they're a steal.

that's under a custom single stage.

one thing about these chips is they run RED hot, i thought my opteron was a hottie.....another reason making me think they're rebadged.

Whip the IHS off, that'll knock down temps nicely (sorry to keep recommending this, I can do it with ease now so everyone else should have a go).

Welcome to the forums by the way, nice to have some decent phase results :)

thnx for the welcome mate :) , i've been a longtime lurker ...usually hang out at XS and ocforums.

i normally take the helmet off but i'll probably just keep it on for this one.

here's an update ...still 1.5v
