Seen a lot when researching gpu's lately that the 4000 series is likely to be delayed for quite some time and only the 4090 is likely to be revealed if any card is going ot be in the next few weeks.

Any one else seen this type of stuff being talked about ?

There have been rumours of excess 3000 series stock that Nvidia is trying to sell, for quite a while. Judging by the "deals" it doesn seem to be true that there is excess 3000 series stock. Regarding the launch of anything below the 4090, you'll just need to wait till next week to see if that is true.

They're going to string out launching the entire line over months so they can continue to move 3000 cards. Expect the following...

Late Sept - 4000-series announcement
Late Oct/early Nov - 4090 availability (limited supply)
Early Jan - 4080 (1st sku with 2nd sku to follow in 2023) availability (super duper limited supply)
Feb - 4070 availability
March - 4060 availability

And remember kids, announcements ain't worth nothing: it's channel availability that matters. My guess is we're going to see an ocean of time between announcement and actual, on-the-ground stock this round.

High end models first with lower tier releases is expected given the pattern set by the last few generations.
But if they limit supply (causing artificial scarcity in this case) that is just what scalpers want to hear, fertile ground.

If that is how Nvidia play it, and how it unfolds, that's something of an own goal mid-long term imo.

think its been known for a long while the top cards will launch first. then lower tier start of next year. makes sense. also nvidia will be flogging the 3 series cards inbetween.
