is that motherboard ok though ?

and how hard would it be to overclock the cpu.

and would the psu be ok for graphics card, as theres been power problems with some psu's ?

this is a gaming rig by the way

cheers

im planning a simuar upgrade only difference, i only need that mobo and e1280 but have a 450w corsair already, the rest of my setup is similar to the one in that list only difference i have an x1950 instead of of 8800 stated in first post, my question is basically a psu related one, would i ned a 520w to proceed with the upgrade or will my 450 be ok?

The motherboard is good, based on a solid chipset and overclocks well.

Not very, it has a high multiplier (10x) and quite a few people have got 100% overclocks from the E21x0 series.

The PSU is more than capable. :)

//edit, the X1950pro is relatively low on power consumption for an ATI card and will be absolutely fine on the 450w.

i see, im not pushing for the £400 budget i can go £450, so i mean little better motheroard maybe ?, or little better cpu ? will show you what i have in my basket

If you want to spend the £450 then this is what I'd be going with or if that is slightly too rich for your blood then you could consider the retail Q6600, do away with the Tuniq Tower and accept you won't be able to overclock so far.
