Doing a small build here for a friends son who is 11. He only plays Fortnight and maybe a few things like Minecraft, Roblox etc. I've not much experience with budget GPU's so asking for advice really. Looking to pop in a 4060, can't strect more than £250 sadly. Do you think it'll be up to the job? I've had a quick look at some graphs, seems like ok'ish performance at 1080p but always like hearing the thoughts of others here.

thanks

It's 11 months old FT performance but it won't be much different, the vid above has loads of different IQ data, 4060 will be a great buy for FT@1080p, on competitive settings it will smash FT.

Zotac are good, UK rma centre (if things haven't changed) just remember to register the 5 year warranty with Zotac.

My son has the AMD reference 6750xt for his 1440p twin monitors and for those games mentioned easily gives you the FPS you need so for 1080p it will be very good.
Does your son just use the one monitor for gaming or does he use both?

As someone who is looking for a gpu to run high settings @ 1440p, i have been suggested a 6700 series, but at some point i would like to have 2 or 3 monitors which i know from past experience uses more grunt. So im curious how it performs unless your son only sticks to 1080p?

Just one at 1440p, watches Sky Sports, Youtube Videos etc on the other one same time as gaming.

Thanks for this thread been out the loop on whata decent for 1080p budget build these days. Also building a pc for a 11 year this Christmas and needed to fit it all into budget of 600.

certainly plenty of options. you just have to compromise in certain areas to fit a 500-600 budget to have it worthy.
