4070 good deal?

Ideally wanting a 5080 but never experienced a pre order/launch and from the sounds of it all it sounds unlikely I’ll get one

Currently don’t have a graphics card at all but would happily wait within reason if I don’t get a 5080 straight away but just seen a deal for a brand new strix 4070 super for £570 so what’s peoples thoughts

If I was going to grab a GPU I'd buy an Rx 6600 and game at 1080p until you can get a 5080.

Just grab any cheap used GPU, I pulled the GTX 970 from my spare PC to keep me going.

I just sold off my 4070 Ti because I got that upgrade itch haha.

As things stand, the price is alright (for a premium model), but with new cards from AMD/nvidia due so soon I wouldn't recommend it.

If you're desperate for a stopgap, perhaps make an offer on a b-grade card @ OCUK, or buy one of the new Arc cards for the novelty.

I’ve got a 4080 I’m selling. Great card as its got 16GB RAM.

I had a 4070Ti and it’s a good card too easily able to play my games at 1440p.

I had 3080 10GB and got a 4070 Ti which was slightly better and then a 4080 which I thought was a lot better.

Considering you can get a 4080 for £750 I think it’s the best option
