The adapter you get with a card is if for 8 pin pcie, thats a standard for 150W.Elaborate,sesonic gives one kind of pin and msi gives another kind of 8 pin :![]()
The one Seasonic gives you is for 8pin on psu connector which is not standarized, but most manufacturers match it to 8pin EPS standard(the cable for CPU) which is rated for 366w.
Hence 2x8pin from Seasonic should be safe for a minimum of 2x366W = 722W, while 3x8pin pcie adapter is only safe(theoretically, in reality more) for 3x150W=450w
