4080/90 taped out

I have a suspicion that $2000 will become £2000 especially if that UK online sales tax passes.

As a 3090 owner I can't see much benefit if it's just 20-30% extra.

Yeah, sounds about right. Waste of time upgrading if you have a 3090, doubt it would offer even 20% performance. Wait for the 4090 I would say for a decent performance uplift.

He's talking about the 4090 as being only 20-30% performance increase over a 3090. Which is about right for Nvidia. Not sure what you thought he was talking about ?

Ah my bad, got my threads mixed up, thought he was on about the 3090 Super.

4090 will be 40% better at least imo. Can’t see it being 20-30%. That would make no sense as they are making a huge leap in manufacturing process as I understand, plus benefits of any architectural improvements.
