4080 super or 5070ti

There's 2 sites in the uk saying they have both. Thanks for that, I think was leaning towards the 5070ti myself
if you can wait few weeks AMD are about to release 9070xt which has similar performance and most likely have better availability and possibly be cheaper. I would not touch those overpriced 5070TI.

Haha, sorry, missed that. I'm new to pc gaming, still trying to get my head around the cards.
it's cool, i'm only yanking your chain - as mentioned though, unless you absolutely have to have an NV card or absolutely have to have a gpu right now, waiting until amd releases their offerings might save you a few quid.

Worst case, AMD might force Nvidia to drop their prices slightly.

If it's between the 4080S and 5070ti, I'd be a little cautious about the manufacturing issues with 50 series. Performance is close and that's without a memory overclock on the 4080S (they ship underclocked).

Normally when a new generation of cards arrive the 60ti matches the previous gen 80 class while costing £400 and then the 70ti which would usually beat the previous gen flagship by about 10% comes in at £600 but Nvidia doesn’t care about gamers anymore so now give you the same performance for the same price as last gen.

As others have said, wait and see what AMD do before deciding what to buy.

I have a 4080 Super, And literally it plows through anything i throw at it at 1440P 165Hz, if you want any reassurance.

Like mentioned, Could see what the new AMD cards bring soon but we know they'll also be price hiked as Nvidia don't care about gamers no more and AMD will definitely take advantage of this, Maybe not on the same price gauging as NGreedia but will absolutely add an extra £150-200 than they originally intended to sell for. Because they can.

Its a terrible terrible time to buy a GPU atm.

Honestly is it good to wait for the next best thing? I don't think so, nowadays whatever the latest hype is you just can't get it most of time and you wait few months by then you will come across post is this and that, not worth or marginal upgrade vs so and so, 5months down the line you not wiser and next best thing is announced to come out in 6 months time :) and then you wait for the next one.
I couldn't be happier with my 4080 super purchased towards end of last year.

AMD cards are out in a couple of weeks so worth waiting imo.

That's great, thanks for the advice

Must confess that I have no plans to buy a 50 series.

My 40 series just sails through everything I throw at it.

I think with the likes of DLSS that everything has changed. It's just not necessary to buy the latest and greatest, because there are always options to improve performance with the card you have.
