When I bought my 4090 it boosted to 2900+ MHz, however, it now only boosts to 2760MHz, and I haven't made any changes to the card or settings. Somewhere over the last few months I've lost 150MHz. Can driver updates do that? I haven't noticed any gaming performance issues, but Topaz VEAI now runs slightly slower, but that could just be wildly unpredictable effects from their seemingly endless updates and tinkering. Any ideas?

Are you playing the same game? Have there been major patches in said game since 4090 launch?

You need to test using exactly the same metric, such as 3D Mark, to get a good baseline.

4090's DO NOT boost to 2900+mhz out of the box. 2700mhz is standard for a 4090. If your 4090 was 2900mhz then it's because you overclocked it and now you've removed your overclock

I never touched mine and it boosted to 2910mhz without touching afterburner.
