4090 power cable

A 3x adapter is considered a 450 watt cable and a 4x adapter a 600 watt cable. You can buy them for specific PSUs (12VHPWR or 12v2x6), or generic extensions for the 8-pins, but not aware of nvidia supplying them separately.

with the 3 - 1 you only need to use 2, I think 3 just unlocks over 100% power consumption or something like that in afterburner.
it still can pull 450watt with 2 of the 3 cables.

no one needs a 600watt cable.even the 4090 only pulls 450watt max, and overclocking it doesn't really make that faster.

75% power limit it something silly like 5% slower than 100% on a 4090.


your card should come with a cable just google for an unboxing video


and for the record I've been running a 4090 for over 2 years with only 2 of the 3 cables connected.
