4090 price going up?

I've listened to a few podcast recently and a few mention that the 4090 price has been rising in Asia due to supply restrictions by Nvidia. i've started to notice that a bit here over the past few weeks. a smalll but steady rise.
when is this madness going to end? is the 4090 still worth it over the 4080 if the prices keep going up.

Wouldn't go that far, XTX keeps up with it in a variety of games inc brand new UE5 titles.

i want it for content work not games, if it was just games i'd go XTX for sure.

pointless buying any 40 series card now untill the refresh arrives next year. may go for a 4080ti if the Cuda cores are not far off the 4090 and its 20GB. But its **** anyway, they make these things for $400

I'd say the only "new" cards arriving in 2024 are the 4080 Ti and maybe the 4090 Ti. So far the "refresh" have just been wishlist specs by the usual liars on youtube.

Hope so, if i didnt need an Nvidia card for content work i'd buy AMD and get a free motherboard

I'm interested to know why consumers are paying these prices rather than getting a next-gen console for more than half the price in some cases.

Some of us actually do content work on our PCs.
these prices all the same are rediculious!! was all for getting a 4090 a few months ago but now i am holding off till santy returns. i may even just get a 4080 Ti or a 4070 Ti Super. and save a grand.

i wont be buying, i am currently buildng a £500 AM4 SFF PC. id rather get a 3080 for £300 secondhand to tide me over. Then my plan is to spash out on a monster 3.5k system. its a shame that in the specs of that monster system a 4090 is over 50% of the budget probably 53% now given the recent price hikes, MADNESS!

i think its safe to say at these price they are out of reach of most consumers. i think Nvidia needs a big bad blue wake up call. Come on intel you're our only hope!
