Hey guys

Moving to a new house where the Good Virgin and Sky packages (Fibre and Sky Unlimited) are not available. Basically I have to go with either providers "National" (read slow - phone line) service. We even get the privilege of paying them twice as much!

Both have a 40Gb limit to downloads. I guess my real question is do I need to find an ISP that will give us unlimited downloads.

Our monthly habits are mainly -

Facebook
Work emails
Personal Emails
Youtube
Game patches
Online gaming:
Warhammer Online (patches can be around 500mb) entire game is about 15gb
BFBC2

The only addition to this is that without Virgin TV we will be downloading a few bits and pieces from iPlayer and the like. At the moment we watch around 10 programs a week on catchup.

Will I go over the 40Gb limit do you think? All my previous ISPs have been unlimited downloads. I can pay Virgin £6 extra for the unlimited package but I am not sure if it would be cheaper getting BT and then O2 for instance, all depends on the 40Gb limit.

Looking into it -

All with Sky - 40Gb Limit = £60

Sky TV with 40Gb Virgin = £52.64

Sky TV with Unlimited Virgin(s) = £58.64

As we are with Virgin at the moment (contact up on 24th Aug, moving on 6th) might just be worth sticking with them at the new place with the unlimited package. What do you think?

PS I both love and hate living in poxy growing villages! Why cant they put the services in when the street is built!!!!
