I'm trying to find a 43" TV, ideally a Samsung for the Apple AirPlay support, but really want a VA panel. I've had last year's NU7400 which seemed to be available as both IPS and VA (mine was IPS so it's going off to my parents') but now want to make sure I get a VA. As far as I can tell the new RU7400 is apparently VA but I've not been able to see one in the flesh to make sure. I'm tempted by the Q60R but it's still over-priced, has reports of very bad backlight bleed and seems to be a PLS panel (some sort or IPS) so I'm not so keen any more.
Does anyone have either the Q60R or the RU7400 and can comment on the panel? How is contrast, particularly in dark rooms? I watch a lot of letterboxed movies so really want the blacks to be as good as possible. I had an old 40" 2014 model H6400 which was VA and had excellent black levels so I'd like a 4K set that's as good as that was if possible.
