hi guys, i have the cooler master 430 elite. it is not that great for cable management but there is a hole by the power supply to feed the cables through behind the motherboard (as you can see on the image below) , the only problem is the hole is not big enough to fit my 24pin cpu cable through.

there is a hole next to the psu that would be capable of fitting it through although there are brackets in the way, i was wondering what would be the best tool to get rid of these brackets so it is just a hole.
i have circled the point on the case of which i want to remove.

edit: there are holes behind the bracket, i also want to remove the piece of metal in between them, i was thinking of a dremel.

would i have to take all of my components out? or would it be fine to leave it in when im cutting, and tbh i dont really know how a dremel works, but i think i can get hold of one

I would definitely strip everything out, metal swarf flying around, only takes one piece to land in the wrong place to short things out & then one dead motherboard.

Or you might slip & do damage to something.

heres a picture of my case btw

colourful cables make the wires stand out more :(

edit: i have moved my side fan to the bottom since this picture

What more do you need to know?

Take all your components out
Dremel the part you need removed (reinforced fibreglass wheels tend to be good for thin metal in my experience)
Sand of any sharp edges
???
Profit
