I just randomly stumbled across youtube channels of music "tuned" to 432hz from their recorded frequency of 440hz.

Apparently 432hz is the frequency of earth and music sounds better at 432hz. I listened to Pu**** by Tool and it indeed sounded amazing, could discern the vocals much better.

Anyone know anything about this and if its bs or not?

Here's a song you can use to compare, 432hz and 440hz versions:

The first video sounds like its swirling around my speakers, the second sounds dull and lifeless in comparison.

It does sound better. No idea why. Could just be a better recording.

Never heard of this 432hz before.

This sounds up there with polishing the pins on your plugs with Brasso and freezing CDs to make them sound better. However, I'll give it a go and report back :)

Started seeing a bunch of these on youtube a few months back. Very obviously some new age bs imho. 432 Hz is completely arbitrary. It's the ratios between different frequencies that are important in music.

Yeah I've heard of this.

I'm open minded when it comes to this kind of stuff, but not sure how much truth/substance there is in this idea.

Well if you compare the two videos then yeah there's a difference, the first is clearer but I like tool and they both didn't sound 'right'.

So I went and listened to the song properly from the album, the first one still sounds wrong, it's slightly off but the difference between it and the actual original song is no where near as big as in the two video's.

I personally prefer the original one it sounds clearer than the 432hz one to me personally, although I can understand why some people would prefer it.

The youtube recording of the original on the other hand is pretty poor and is pretty lifeless compared with the cd or even mp3 I've got.
