4400 x2 Temperature

Hi all,

Can anybody give me advice on temperatures for the 4400 x2 CPU?

I have an ASUS A8N32-SLi Deluxe motherboard, 4400 x2 CPU, 2GB Corsair Value 400MHz RAM.

I am using the VapoChill Micro Ultra Low Noise (Socket 754/939/940). Normal running I get 45/46 degrees C. Is this normal? Seems a little hot to me...

Thanks!

Tony

RE:

Sorry the 'normal running' is just the temperature displayed in the BIOS. No OS installed etc. I literally just built the machine last night.

I just put it in with the standard thermal paste to get an idea of temperature, so no AS.

It's in an all aluminium Lian-Li case with a Hyper Modular PSU. I have one rear fan pulling air out of the case.

What do you think? Sounds high to me.

Thanks

Hi all,

Thanks for the advice.

I am really peeved. Did lots of reading of reviews and everything I read said they were really good. I've only just bought it so there's £35 down the drain. Do you think it's something overclockers would take back? Doubt it...

What do you recommend as the best for this CPU for about £35?

Cheers
