What do you reckon?

4460 is starting to suffer in games like wildlands
 
If you're considering the i7-7700K, the i7-4770K or i7-4790K would be far cheaper and only slightly behind. If you want more cores for better minimums and future proofing, the R5 1600 is a better choice. The R7 1700 and i7-7700K would cost too much for your budget unless you plan to sell your current rig to pay for it?
 
That game has problems with quad core CPUs. Have you applied the patch?

The i5-4460 is a quad core CPU and I'm not sure you're going to see much - if any - improvement in games.
