Hey all,
So another request for a UWS or SWS monitor.
Considering the gaming rig in my sig and also that I use a dell latitude 3420 laptop (with USB-C) I “think” i’d like a 49” curved screen with. KVM, so with using just one keyboard and mouse setup I can flick between the 2 computers. I have no use for having them both on screen side-by-side.
I would like to be able to flick to the laptop which would hopefully be connected by usb-c and charged by the monitor PD system. Also hoping that the laptop will cope with that high a resolution, as I’d split the screen into 3 zones.
A recent dell command update screwed the hdmi resolution to my 34” dell and it now maxes out at 2560 x 1440, when previously it offered the max available res of 3440 x 1440. So I’m hoping that whatever 49” screen I go for isn’t throttled back.
Also, for gaming I guess if my GPU can’t handle 5k then I can still game with my current 3440x1440 and have black lines either side of the screen?

Hope that makes enough sense for someone to make recommendations please. Would prefer IPS panel for colour consistency. Budget unknown right now, but around £1k.

Have you looked at offerings from OCUK? They have:

LG 49" 49WQ95C-W 5120x1440 NANO IPS 144Hz FreeSync HDR KVM Curved Ultrawide Gaming Monitor £1048.99

MSI 49" MPG 491CQP QD-OLED 5120x1440 0.03ms 144Hz FreeSync Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitor £1,098.95

Thanks, yes I did look at them and I do prefer to shop from OCUK.
Hoping someone can recommend from experience of owning, responding to the points i’d like clarifying.
I do like LG screens.
