Hi All! New here!!

My old and well used PC has finally thrown in the towel.

So its about time I got a new system! :D

Budget is £450.

I understand how the basics of how to put the components together (other than a processer) but no clue on overclocking etc.

With that in mind i like the idea of this kit: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-234-OK&groupid=43&catid=2512&subcat=2693 Is it anygood/any better suggestions

I have monitor, keyboard, mouse etc. I have a Windows 7 key but no CD (how do i get round this)? So need everything else!

Hope that makes sense ;)

Thanks!!

I do have a graphics card, psu and case. I’m at work on lunch at the moment so will check when I get home what graphics card (about 4-5 years old) and psu (is very budget if I remember correctly) so might be worth changing them? My case is very very old, so would ideally like to change this but am sure I scrape another £40 to get one on top of the £450. ;)

Edit: Sorry I also have optical drives!

Yeah I can probably make that happen. A new case isn't essential ;). Just gonna check the kit I got already to see if any of it's still ok

Ok so I have:

Nvidia GeForce 9800gtx+
2x AE 2gb DDR Ram
Hiper type M 630w psu
2 IDE opticals
Freezer pro 7 processor fan
Intel core 2 quad 2.83ghz processor

Told you it was old , a friend built it for me for practically nothing many year ago!!

Let me know if anything is still relevant lol :D

Hi all,

Thanks again for you advice.

Unfortunately my budget has reduced to £350 as my car needed some work . Will I still be able to have a decent build for this :(

Kind of lost me a little :D

At the moment there is certainly issues somewhere in my kit I have at the moment. I would like to replace the hard drives because they are only small and old. I think the issues are in the motherboard or hard drives? (my guess, sometimes wont even start up, just get a series of beeps).

Well if I can sell my currently processer for £50. That will bring me up to £400...

I play a lot of different games really, LoL, Minecraft, COD, CS GO, CS, Dayz, WoW, Elder Scrolls, Various racing games, bunch of other stuff on steam too.

ok ;)

would it be worth going for this as well for an extra £10? Or will it not make much difference?
