£450 Spec please

3850 should, depends on the res.

The Intel CPUs have a kind of 64bit emulation, so they can run 64bit OSs. You can still (in fact most do) run 32bit OSs on it without issues.

Sorry about how thats there i couldnt put a screenshot in?
So with that setup i can run 32 or 64 bit? and it would that come with everything i need or will i need to buy extra to assemble?

no you have on board with that mobo and it will do you just fine, the spec looks great the 8600gt should do you fine if you favour nvidia cards and ther rest of the spec should be a nippy little machine for what you need it for.

great thanks. i only picked the 8600GT as nvidia supposedly have better linux drivers. Would that card support dual monitors or does it get a lot more expensive for that?

no dual monitors is pretty much a standerd feature now on any popular graphics card and will be fully supported by that particular one.

Looks good. Personally i would spend the extra £10 and get the ATI x1950 pro as it is a better card, but as you said nvidia drivers may be better for linux - i wouldnt know. Good build, enjoy! ;]

something you may want to look @ the recently released ati drivers for linux.

and vmware etc so u can use ** machine for windows and linux at the same time. great for testing etc or if u just want to play.
