£450 Target!

Buying a new comp for christmas and have come up with two different specs!

The big question is.. conroe e6300 or dualcore 945

Ill be using the pc for everyday use + counter-strike (1.6)

I've really thought about it and would in my mind prefair the dualcore 945.. but im really unsure.. so I dont know..

same price but core 2 has much better performance surely?
also 64 pound gets a 1600pro 256mb, which afaik should e a bit better than a 7300

hmm.. I hadn't thought about an ATI but it looks pretty sweet, ty!

If I can afford the extra £££ I'll definatly go for it!

I was told the asrock board was bad for overclocking and if I was to go with the e6300, wouldn't I have to oc to get the same performance? or not?

Do you think the Gigabyte GA_965P_DQ6 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-058-GI) (last one on the mobo page) would be worth paying the extra money for?
